Continuing with our measurement unit - this term we are learning about weight.

Painting - Our art topic for Term 3

This week we tried to use different paint techniques with brushes and cardboard. We each have our own 'line' of paints to use. We practised keeping our brushes and paints clean.
We are learning to make new colours using red, blue and yellow.  Look at our primary and secondary colour flowers.

Yellow Poems

We wrote poems about all things yellow.... Here is Max's poem ....

Pikachu, Pickachu so dangerous

Lemon, lemon so sour

Banana, banana so yummy

Corn, corn so juicy

Sun, sun so sunny!

We learned to draw yellow daffodils to go with this week's poem.

Monkey Bar Madness

We are a class full of monkey bar enthusiasts. We are getting really good at the monkey bars in the junior playground so we went to the big kids playground and tried out the big monkey bars and fort.

Nature - a Study in Clay

Mrs Fowler came and had an art day with us. She showed us close-up photos of the nature's beauty. We worked with partners to make clay tiles that represented our favourite photos. The tiles will be part of a whole school clay art display.
