Brachiosaurus and Balloons

Week 8 we met the Brachiosaurus. We wrote stories about this huge dinosaur.
Then..... his friend Triceratops came to visit!

Later in the afternoon we went to the old hall for some balloon fun.

School Assembly

Last week Room 17 hosted the school assembly. Here is a video that shows some of what happened. Everyone spoke on the microphone to introduce themselves. Ka pai Room 17. What a terrific assembly!

Week 7 - A busy Week

Look at our ladybird paintings.... we are trying to make our spot patterns the same on both sides of the ladybird.


We read stories to our big buddies from Room 10. Then they taught us a game called 'The Giant's Keys'.

We learned a new poem about lollipops, then sorted them and ate them!

All about Week 4

This week we have been learning about things that start with  the Letter A. We are trying very hard to write independently. See how clever we are getting at writing some words all by ourselves!

This week we started our sport interchange, learned all about Oscar the Grouch, owls and other things that start with O.

Week 2 in Room17

Have you seen our Cat in the Hat wall display?
The clever kids of Room 17 made these all by themselves while Mrs Ward was busy taking reading groups. Watch the video to see what great self managers we are.

Kelly Sport

The tutors from Kelly sport came to Russley to play some games with us. We had great fun running, dribbling, hitting and fielding.

Our letter of the week is C.

We made the letter C and things that start with C with our new playdough.

Chopstick Matching

Mrs Ward has heaps of chopsticks. They are all different colours and have different patterns on them. We had to sort them into pairs and then we tried picking up letters and crayons.
It was really tricky! We really had to look carefully at the different patterns and 'keep on trying' to pick things up with them. Happy Year of the Rooster!
