ANZAC Poppy Fields

We listened to a story about a puppy who went to war with some ANZAC soldiers.
We wrote stories and created posters of the poppy fields our soldiers saw when they were so far from home.

Our stories based on the book called "The ANZAC Puppy".

Cross Country

We have been practicing for ages. Finally the big day arrived. Look at us run.

Kite Technology

We thought about what a kite needs to fly. We decided that they need:-
  1. sticks for a frame
  2. a flat area
  3. string
  4. a tail
Our buddies came to help us design and make our kites. Look at them fly.

K is for Kittens

Sara brought her kittens for us to write about. We all got a pat before the kittens wandered around and watched us writing our stories.

Making Mini Hamburgers

Friday was hamburger day. Mrs MacClure and Mr Ward came to help us prepare the fillings and cook the patties. We learned to peel, grate and chop. We used tongs to put our burgers together.
They tasted great.

Musical Treat

Today Scarlett, from Room 15, brought her Grandad to school. He is a famous actor and musician. He told Team Waka stories, made us laugh and sang. What a great afternoon. Thanks Stig Eldred.

Balloon Time Again

We took our buddies to the old hall and counted backwards while keeping the balloons off the floor. Some of us could count all the way back from ten and keep the balloon in the air. This time we didn't have any trouble with the wind and popping balloons!
