Making Noodle Necklaces

This week we threaded colourful noodles onto wool to make noodle necklaces. It took a lot of concentration to thread some of the trickier noodle types. The hard work was worth it - the necklaces looked great.

Comparing Heights

We have begun our maths topic of Measurement. We estimated which children in our class were taller and then checked by comparing heights.
Next Wiremu and Oliver had to order everyone in one long line from shortest to tallest. It was very hard to do when we didn't stay standing tall and straight! At last they had us all sorted according to size.

Whale Prints

This term our art topic is print making. We learned who to draw whales, pasted them onto foam and cut them out to make whale prints.
We wrote stories about rescuing the tohora (whale) that was stranded on Waimairi Beach. Come in and read some of the stories on the wall display.

Making Ws

We found out we could make 'w' letters with 4 children!

... and with 4 fingers....
