Sam reports on the Kakariki and Karaka maths groups sorting numbers from smallest to biggest. To make it a tricky challenge not all the numbers are there! We have to be very careful to count properly.
Nicholas reports on R week activities.

It's a small world
The P.T.A's fund raiser had us all learning greetings from other countries.
We had a wonderful cultural assembly on Thursday to celebrate the many cultures of the whanau of Russley School. Some children wore outfits or dressed in the flag colours from their native countries.
We all tested our knowledge of flags and greetings and have sent the marked 'test' home to help with gathering the sponsorship money for the P.T.A. Please return this money as soon as possible.

Hi Room 17,
Thank you so much for your wonderful artwork – we have printed it out and it is on our notice board so that the whole team can see it every day. It looks like there are quite a few future racing boat designers in your class!
It’s great to have support from such good artists and please keep up the good work with your maths.
We have sent you a photo of our boat….
Kind Regards
Emirates Team NZ

Vegetable Soup
Mmmmmmm, the smell of vegetable soup was all through the classroom. We put all the ingredients in and let them boil. The smell was wonderful - we predicted if we would like it and wrote our names on the board under πorπ. Most of us liked our soup, lots of us had two helpings and some even had three!
Thank you to Perez's mum who helped us.
